Executive Bio
Marc Stress is a Fractional Chief Brand Officer and Brand Systems Advisor with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations embed brand into how they operate. He works directly with leadership teams to align strategy, systems, and execution — turning brand from a surface expression into a structural advantage.
Marc founded Stressdesign in 2000 and later co-founded 76West, leading cross-disciplinary teams across technology, manufacturing, education, culture, and financial services. In 2025, he transitioned fully into fractional C-level advisory, partnering with growth-stage and established organizations navigating complexity, change, and scale.
His work focuses on structural brand integration: clarifying positioning, building decision frameworks, aligning cross-functional teams, and designing systems that guide execution.
In parallel with his advisory work, Marc serves as Professor and Program Coordinator at Syracuse University, where he advances systems thinking at the intersection of design, business, and emerging technology.
